nothing lasts forever

Wes said recently- we, in our younger years, have a hard time imagining that what is today may not be tomorrow. Life can change so dramatically, so quickly. To know that in my mind is old news, but learning it in my actions and truly knowing it is the process I'm in. Nothing lasts forever as far as emotions, feelings, or any earthly situations go. They all change. Often rapidly. The example I keep seeing is my emotions, my worries and fears, and also myself, thanks to Him. A few months ago, especially March I think, was hell for me. Processing through things, feeling the effects of situations from the last few months and the last few years. Maybe even farther back than that. Sometimes I wish I felt the effects of things a little sooner, that it didn't take me so long to process, that I could just get it over with and move on like normal people instead of storing it up for a later date and eventually having a traumatic breakdown for no apparent reason. But it's whatever, and beside the point.
The said point I'm getting back to is, things change. I can honestly say I felt like it would not change, like I would not heal, and things would always be that way. Needless to say, it didn't. I am healing and changing, and I already have, so much, thanks to the only One who does that. He does miracles.
Its just an example of life in general though. There is always hope in Him, if we place our trust in Him. So no matter the situation, debilitating or terrifying predicament, the truth is, nothing lasts forever. He lasts forever, and He loves and changes and saves. Oh I am so overwhelmingly thankful for Him. He has my heart.
I remember a church meeting last year where a man that visited spoke on the subject of, "salvation is of the Lord", and how much the mere thought of that in a sense delivered me from some of my struggles at the time. I am truly experiencing it now, seeing fruit of His salvation.
I honestly don't know how the world lives without Him, who they turn to or where they go. In a strange, awful way I am amazed that they manage. I can't imagine. I know I wouldn't have made it to 24, for sure.
So, life is hopeful, in Him. I have a whole lot of questions about what is coming next, but if He can change me that much in just a few months, and going back again a few months ever farther, change me and my life so much its almost unrecognizable, I think I have proof of His abilities and willingness to involve Himself and guide me. Just learning continually to trust the One that loves me. It's so worth it.
